I decided buttons would make great eyes.
Nick stitched Bonaventure on his tally band and our mascot was born.
The smaller version came a little while later and was made in Portuguese waters. Making this half the size needed a little bit of juggling with the pattern as it wasn't just a case of halving it. After several adjustments, he was complete.
